Pick a day and agree to serve as physician-of-the-day in the Capital. MedChi is the only organization with access to all elected officials right in the Capital, where we staff the first aid room. As physician of the day you have privileges to the legislative chamber floors and a great opportunity to interact with legislators up close. Emeritus Physicians who have an active license were an enormous help last year. We hope you will volunteer again this year. Doctor's Day in Annapolis
During the 2012 legislative session, MedChi’s component medical societies will assemble at MedChi’s Annapolis office to hold their annual legislative meetings. During your legislative day in Annapolis, you will have the opportunity to meet with the legislators from your district as well as observe session in the House or Senate. You will be provided with talking points on issues and bills important to MedChi, as well as MedChi’s legislative agenda and legislative newsletter.
