October 14-15, 2005
Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Resort

You are invited to attend a CME Dinner sponsored by the Southern Medical Association on Friday, October 14th at 6:30 p.m.  The topic to be discussed is “Welcome to Medicare Visits:  Risk Assessments” presented by Jo Ann Steigerwald, RHIT, ACS-OH, ACS-GI.

There is no fee required to attend.  Registration is required.  See below.

The "Welcome to Medicare Visit" specifically requires that the new Medicare patient be evaluated as to risk factors for depression and for risks associated with functional ability and level of safety. We will discuss what needs to be included and documented as part of the Welcome to Medicare Visit to meet Medicare requirements for payment for these visits.

At the end of this presentation, the participant should be able to identify the points required in a Welcome to Medicare risk assessment, and understand the importance of careful documentation of each of the required elements of this visit.

This course is limited to professional attendees.  To register for this program call Kendra Blackmon at 800-423-4992 extension 164 or fax your name, address, phone, e-mail and number attending to 205-945-8885 attention Kendra Blackmon.
