MedChi: The Maryland State Medical Society

The Maryland State Medical Society is partnering with the Graduate Education Foundation (GEF) in order to offer a series of web-based educational seminars to Maryland hospitals.  

CMElectures.org currently consists of 135 web-based lectures encompassing 18 medical and surgical topics.  They are original, timely, evidenced-based and ACCME accredited.  The seminars are an effective and convenient learning tool that librarians and CME coordinators are offering to their physicians and other professional staff at over 185 hospitals nationwide.

A goal of the program is to help hospitals maintain their relationship with their referral base by providing access to quality education that is available on the physician’s time and terms.  In an era when doctors spend less of their time interacting with the hospital’s staff, CMElectures.org is proving to be a unique service that they can relate to and appreciate.  Through an institutional subscription, access to the site is provided to physicians and other staff at no cost to the user.
